Singapore's Michelin-starred Indian restaurants

Thevar has two stars; Muthu's Curry has Bib Gourmand. A short list, but a serious one.

Indian fine dining in Singapore has earned serious recognition. Thevar on Mohamad Sultan Road holds two Michelin stars (originally awarded in 2021 as one star, upgraded to two in 2022 and held since). Chef Mano Thevar trained in classical French technique and applies it to the Indian flavours of his Penang upbringing. Muthu's Curry holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand — the guide's recognition of excellent food at moderate prices — for its fish-head curry. The Song of India has also appeared in the Michelin Guide selection. The shortlist is small but suggests Indian cuisine has joined the fine-dining mainstream in Singapore.
