The story
MTR (Mavalli Tiffin Rooms) is a Bengaluru icon — open since 1924, credited with inventing the rava idli during WW2 rice shortages. The Singapore branch opened on Serangoon Road and quickly became a serious South Indian destination, run with the same family recipes.
